GreenCycle, financed via Maltese CSP funding, runs from 2026 to 2028. It will promote a switch from imported chemical fertiliser to bio-based fertilisers in Malta. The project builds on the results of the SYNECO project and will leverage on pilot installations for manure processing, utilising these for setting the production of bio-based fertilisers into operation. ORGANE's role is among other related to the use of bio-based fertilisers in practical crop production, promoting their applicability in vegetable production, for instance in practical fertiliser plans and via field trials to demonstrate their use to farmers.
